š¾ $5k Match: We Fell Short ā But Weāve Been Given One More Chance
We have both disappointing and exciting news to share.
Despite the incredible generosity of our supporters, we did not reach our goal of raising $5,000 by June 30 to unlock our matching gift challenge. We came close, raising nearly $2,500, but ultimately fell short of the amount needed to secure the full match.
The exciting news? Our matching donors have agreed to give us one more month.
That means we now have until July 31 to raise the remaining $2,000 for the dogs.
This extension couldn't come at a more critical time. Shelters across Southern California remain overcrowded, adoption rates are slowing, and every week we face difficult decisions about which dogs we can afford to save. Medical care, dentals, medications, training, and boarding expenses add up quickly, and every dollar raised directly impacts how many dogs we can help.
We're asking our community to help us close the gap. If everyone reading this newsletter gave just a small amount, we could reach our goal and double the impact of every dollar raised.

Help Us Raise the Ruff
As many of you know, rescue doesnāt stop once a dog leaves the shelter. Many of our pups need extra medical care, professional training, boarding, or simply more time before theyāre ready for adoption ā and those costs add up quickly. This month, weāre working to unlock a $5,000 fundraising match to help us continue saying āyesā to dogs who need us most.
If youāve ever fostered, adopted, donated toward, or loved one of our dogs, weād love for you to start a small fundraiser in their honor ā or in memory of a beloved pup who has passed. Our average goal is just $200 per person, and together, those small campaigns make a huge impact.
