Welcome to the Homebound Hounds September 2025 Newsletter!
Welcome Back – Refreshed and Recharged!
As summer comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize the importance of balance, mental health, and recharging our batteries. Just like the dogs we save, our team needs time to rest too. In July and August, we intentionally slowed down to spend time with loved ones, soak in the sunshine, and take a much-needed breath.
Of course, rescue work never truly pauses—dogs continued to be saved, fosters continued to open their homes, and our community kept moving forward. Now, as September kicks off, we’re back at full speed and gearing up for our biggest event of the year: our annual fundraiser on November 8th! This event is the heartbeat of our rescue—it fuels the medical care, training, and safe landings that make second chances possible.
We’re excited to share updates, stories, and ways you can get involved this month as we prepare for this milestone together. Let’s make this fall one to remember!

She’s already house and crate trained and would prefer a family with another doggy friend (although not required). Whether she’s playing, snuggling, or simply hanging out, she radiates sweetness and charm.

The Faces Behind the Rescue
The heart of everything we do!
Our Q2 Team Meeting showcasing the brilliant, passionate, and compassionate women who keep this rescue running. From drafting newsletters and organizing transports to coordinating fosters, managing social media, and supporting adoptions — every single one of these amazing ladies is volunteering their time to help save lives.
They show up after work, during lunch breaks, on weekends, and in between the chaos of daily life — all for the dogs.
